Dear Lowe's Part Deux
Dec. 29th, 2006 06:47 pmYou still suck, did you know that? Today, I come home to find water on the floor of the laundry room again. This time it was coming from the other hose of the pair you sold me two months ago. Only this time, I didn't bother calling you in a vain attempt to schedule a repair visit. I've shut the water off, again, and tomorrow my boyfriend and I will be making a visit to your competitor to purchase a replacement hose and the appropriate wrench. Smart me -- I watched the repairman replace the last one and my friend
ciorstan told me how to do it. So there.
By the way, I'm sure the repair service you or Whirlpool contracts with was real happy with you on Wednesday. Just before leaving for work, I received a call from their repairman, letting me know he was on his way. He sure wasn't pleased to find out I'd cancelled the appointment a week ago.

Date: 2006-12-30 04:51 am (UTC)When you take the hose apart, remember that even though you've turned the water off at the tap at the 'upper' end of the hose, there's going to be a little bit of water left in it. Place a towel under the area before you begin to sop/catch that.
I'm grumpy because Sears has not coughed up my part, though they promised that it would have arrived last Tuesday. Harumph. I think I'll call the parts store nearby and see if they delivered it there instead of my home.

Date: 2006-12-31 12:35 am (UTC)It was delivered this afternoon while I was out, so all is good. I'm whipping out the two screwdrivers (flat and Phillips) to take apart the top/back of the machine tonight, so I can do laundry without making a mess all over my kitchen floor tomorrow.
