A quick update

The hand is not broken, but I have some severe bruising (multiple little hematomas) and a largish blood clot in the muscle below my thumb. The orthopedist said the MRI images were...interesting. I'm still in the splint and sling, but I can start weaning myself off of it after we get back from Grandma's funeral.

At least we got one bit of good news this week.

It will probably hurt for a surprisingly long time, but I'm glad to hear that you can still use it and don't need the cast. :D Yay for not being broken! :D
