Crappity, Crap, Crap, Crap
Aug. 19th, 2009 06:06 pmI got a message from my Dad earlier today that Grandma is back the hospital, this time in the small town she lives in. I'll leave out the gory details, but suffice it to say that she's bleeding internally from multiple GI tract and stomach ulcerations. And not eating. And not really with it.
My Dad, the doctor, thinks she will not last very long.
A year ago, she lived in her own home by herself (monitored by my cousins). Two months ago, she was able to navigate the stairs by herself, walk around with her walker and carry on conversations. A month ago, she got shingles and it all went downhill from there. Mom says I wouldn't recognize her.
So now I wait and see where I'm going to be this weekend.
