Heading out to an event in the morning. A three day outdoor event that includes a Crown Tournament, in July, in Texas. It is stupid hot outside. And I have obligations so I have to be there. Did I mention that it's hot?

Kill me now.

P.S. If Gunthar messes up and wins Crown, you may hear me screaming in space.

Hear you screaming in space... That would mean you somehow transmit enough energy across the entire radio spectrum, that a radio can pick it up :-) I would not want to be within two states of that event. The energy output would nuke Texas ;-)

Around the time we were frantically getting water on and into Lochlan, I started wondering why exactly we (a) don't hold crown spring/fall anymore, and (b) don't fight it indoors when the heat index is 124.

Yes, that's right, 124. Not exaggerating. Don't they fight indoors when it's too cold/snowy up north? I don't fight, so I'm sure there's a good reason, I just have no clue what it is.

Also, I came in right in the middle of U&E's short reign, so I didnt know until recently that crown wasn't always january/july.

I had Caelin check the temps just before the final rounds. It was 103 with a heat index of 122 to 124 on the field.

You want to hear idiocy? I know how much people treasure the videos/photos of their crown tourneys, so when I was getting dressed, instead of "slumming it" in a chiton or my grubbies and risking showing up looking awful in the background, I wore my only remaining clean, nice-looking garb--a wool viking.
