Apr. 25th, 2008 01:18 pmI am seriously underpaid for the amount of stress I have had to deal with over the last four weeks. The newest project has problems I've never had to deal with before -- serious going-to-cost-the-company-big-bucks kind of problems. And if I get one more request from the potential buyer BEFORE they've even looked at the diligence they received yesterday, there may be a mushroom cloud over my office.
For the first time ever a couple of weeks ago, I unfriended somone on LJ and it's weighed on my mind a bit. It wasn't because we had a disagreement (actually, we rarely responded to posts on the other's respective blog) but the neediness of the posts was sort of overwhelming in a "you are in need of some serious counseling" sort of way. When I start skipping posts, I think it's time to say goodbye.
Discussion about "The Open Source Boob Project" has been entertaining in a WTF kind of way. Personal space issues aside, if a man came up to me and asked to touch my boobs, he's going to get a "no". If a man just reaches out and touches them without asking, he's going to get smacked. Worse if
count_gunthar is around and sees it.
I ought to attend a local event tomorrow, and I'm feeling guilty for this, but I think I need a weekend with no responsibilities. Especially since weekends (and some weekdays) in May, June and July are now completely booked with SCA-related stuff. Remember when summer meant vacation?
Speaking of vacation, I was supposed to have the day off today. Based on my location, you can see how well that worked out.
It's raining and hailing a bit on my side of the Tollway. It's not two blocks over (that I can see from my office window). Weird.

Totally confused about the whole boob thing though...
We're taking the weekend off, too. So much going on starting next weekend through June, I think we are entitled to a weekend!
Btw, I have some GREAT new fabric for Springfair! You'll laugh and love it!
Not sure if I'll be doing a dress or some sort of pirate-y pants outfit. :)
Sorry you're working sweets! Enjoy your down-weekend!
