I like my job pretty well. I have a boss who gives me quite a bit of autonomy, flexible hours (for the most part), a windowed office, a secretary I share with several other people, and regular paychecks. But when I have projects with problematic buyers like the one I'm working on now, I start to wish I was a legal secretary again. It's been three weeks of hell with this group of people, just to get a sale agreement signed, not to actually close the deal. And if I get one more request for one more irrelevant piece of paper that the buyer just has to have before it will sign, I'm going to pitch a screaming fit. The terrible thing is, we did this same song and dance last year with them and they pulled out at the last minute. My boss was so scared of telling me that we had to deal with them again that he had one of the directors do it for him -- the big chicken. I believe my "WHAT?!!!" could be heard all the way down the hall.
I'm also busy helping the Kingdom A&S Minister handle preregistrations for the upcoming Kingdom A&S event (that
count_gunthar is preparing to enter). Worried that we hadn't heard much from entrants, I sent out a reminder on the Kingdom list yesterday -- and have had a dozen preregistrations in the last 24 hours. I think some people forgot.
Oh, and did I mention that I am the land coordinator for the barony for Gulf War in March?
Somone break my arms, please.
