I find it slightly pathetic that my secretary and I are excited because we get to wear jeans on Friday.

Since my boss actually listened to me when I said no year-end closings, things are actually quite dead around here already. I've taken care of some clean-up items on a couple of transactions and narrowly missed getting dragged into a piddly little intercompany transaction headed by another department that is scheduled to close December 31st. And my office is actually clean -- scarily clean-- and it's freaking me out a little.

Gunthar and I leave for Seattle on Sunday. No computer and little to no TV. Just me and him, a wood burning fireplace and a hot tub. And snow. Lots and lots of snow.

About an hour and a half east of Seattle, to a little town called Leavenworth. We were there in May and fell in love with the area.

It's wonderful this time of year. You'll actually go right by my house, in a little town called Monroe, on the route up into the pass to Leavenworth. There's supposed to be new snow up there tonight and tomorrow, apart from what's already on the ground.
