Aren't I Special?

Well, after a mostly dramaless Crown Tournament, except for the part where Gunthar had a bout of arrhythmia in the middle of the second round and scared me to death, we have a new Prince and Princess of Ansteorra. And, surprisingly, I'm not all that upset that it's not me and Gunthar For details on what happened, check out count_gunthar's post from Monday. Suffice it to say, Mr. "I'm Indestructible" is going to be seeing a doctor in the very near future.

As for me, I once again have my biannual crud. Only this time, I managed a triple header with acute bronchitis, allergic rhinitis and an asthma flare up. I've had my shot in the butt of Cortisone and I'll be stopping by the pharmacy to pick up my antibiotics and prescription-level cough suppressant. Maybe tonight Gunthar will actually be able to sleep without waking up to my hacking up a lung.

While the rest of House Porto heads up to Oklahoma for Namron Protectorate this weekend, Gunthar and I will be going down to the Houston-area for Tourney by the Loch. I promised Hedwig I would help her with feast, and I'm hoping Gunthar will get the chance to participate in the chivalric melee tournaments, since they sound like so much fun. I'm looking forward to just hanging out in the kitchen area with my usual buddies, and we seem to have a lot of fun when we attend events in Loch Sollier.

Projects this week: frumenty for Hedwig, blackwork designs for largess, finding purple linen for G.
