countessmouseIt's been a really crappy week, only slightly relieved by a little bit of good news and some fun. I've been dealing with two particularly difficult closings this week, a scarcity of people authorized to sign documents, and some really bad attitudes (mine included). Plus, it has rained every friggin' day. Hard. And during rush hour.
The good news came on Monday, with the results of Grandma's second set of biopsies. Again, they were all negative -- just normal renal tissue. Hallelujah! The doctors have decided not to remove the benign tumor and recheck her in three months. So, everyone can get back to normal. And, of course, the first thing she wanted was to go back to her home. Dad is taking her back home tomorrow, where my cousins Joyce and Glen, one who lives across the street and the other who lives cattycorner to her, can keep an eye on her. I know she'll be happier back in her house, with her things, and her routine.
The fun thing was on Wednesday, when Gunthar and I went to see Spamalot. It was a great show and we laughed a lot. And we were silly and bought t-shirts, skipping the $20 special program sold by vendors wearing killer rabbit slippers.
After a frenzy of final documents this morning, I'm really, really, really hoping to get out of the office a little early today. I have a birthday cake to make for a party tomorrow and Gunthar's LAN party at a shop in Plano is tomorrow night.
I am SO looking forward to this weekend!
