I love the Pacific Northwest -- I always have. Despite being a southern girl at heart, there is a currently very vocal little part of me that loves the mountains and ocean and wishes I lived there. We had a great time on our "pu-pu platter tour of the Pacific Northwest", as Gunthar put it so eloquently, and had a hard time coming home to flat north central Texas. There were a few minor glitches (i.e. a delay at the Canadian border that made us miss our appointment at the Vancouver Aquarium to feed the sea otters, and a problem with the battery of my digital camera that necessitated the purchase of a disposable camera), but overall, it was a wonderful trip. Reality came and slapped us in the face Tuesday morning when my SUV wouldn't start. After a jump from the tow truck instead of a tow, and a visit to the dealership, I now have the appropriate battery for my vehicle. It seems that Hyundai installed smaller batteries than required in their SUVs. At least it was covered under warranty.
So, here I am back at work. Bleh.
