Fabric -- Squee!
Feb. 6th, 2007 03:52 pmThe rest of the fabric I ordered came today. Yay! I'm going to commandeer the washer and dryer tonight and get
count_gunthar's colors done tonight for sure. Now I just need to get the boxes of his kitchen stuff out of my project room (and presumably put away) so that I can start cutting.
The baby blanket is 90% finished. My sister's c-section is scheduled for February 21st, so we'll have an Ash Wednesday baby instead of a Mardi Gras baby.
I had a lot of fun helping out with the feast at Bryn Gwlad's Candlemas this past weekend. Mistress Gwyneth had the prep and kitchen well organized, which gave me a chance to sneak out of the kitchen every once in a while to see what was going on in the hall and visit a bit with friends. Gunthar had a good time, too, and we were both happy with how the feast came out. The food was really good and people at my table actually asked for seconds. The next day, Gwyneth gave me a little spice pot that had been given to her when she first started working on feasts. I was very touched by the gesture and almost cried in her living room.
Kingdom A&S is this weekend and I'm planning to attend, but I'm not entering anything this year. I'm going to provide support and assistance to my friends who are, and to get a chance to sit, sew and talk. Must remember to pack games for Gunthar!
