countessmouseAbout every nine or ten weeks or so, I get my hair colored. It's very close to my natural color of auburn so that it's not very noticeable when it starts growing out. Except for the gray, which is the reason for this whole process in the first place. I subscribe to my Mom's philosophy: as long as there is hair dye, I'll always be [insert preferred hair color here].
The only problem is that for the first three days or so after the color is put in, my hair smells awful. I get a whiff of it everytime I turn my head. Yuck.
The annual family reunion on my Dad's side of the family is this weekend. With the exception of some of my immediate family, they're a pretty benign lot. It's hard to get into trouble when you're getting up there in years, I guess, and my Dad is one of the youngest of all of his cousins at 69. Gunthar is meeting my family for the first time, but I'm not as nervous as I would be if my maternal grandmother were going to be there. I know he's nervous anyway.
Tonight we start getting everything organized for Pennsic. I just found out yesterday that I'm going to have to make a business trip between Steppes Artisan and when we leave for Pennsic, so I'll lose two days of prep -- which is not good considering how crunched for time Gunthar and I are at this point. We'll get it done, although it might be a bit of a scramble.
